Getting the kids attention is thankfully quite easy! 

                          So many receptive young people at this meeting voluntarily after school., over 100 last week.

 Saleem has been a wonderful addition to our team and is here introducing time for testimonies.

The theme this week was unity..the strength of being together ..Jesus' prayer is that we as believers be one just as He and His Father were also one. We shared the story of the father who called his 6 quarrelsome sons together on his deathbed.....  he gave them all six sticks and told them to break them...individually this was easy but when he tied six sticks together they were unbreakable.

At the end of the meeting there is time for individual prayer and counselling.

YOUTHREACH HIGH SCHOOL CHRISTIAN MINISTRY

For the past two years YouthReach volunteers have been working in two High Schools in Diepsloot Township.

Starting from small beginnings in a single classroom with 10-15 learners, the work has grown to where over hundred young people attend our weekly SCM's (Student Christian meetings) at the Diepsloot Combined School.

At Iterele School we have similarly started small. This year the school moved to within Diepsloot which enabled us to start an SCM after school.. Previously due to the need to for learners to catch after school buses, we could only hold a meeting in a school break. Now we have 60 students learners coming and its growing.

Our meetings include lively energetic praise and worship, dramas, scripture memorization, prayer and multimedia content throughout.

We look forward to sharing with you the progress in the work as we minister to these truly precious young people overcoming extremely difficult circumstances and backgrounds.
